January Week 3: Stop Buying Stuff Update

Image
Soooooo I missed last week’s update—my bad. We had a crazy weekend and then every time I thought about writing an entry, something exploded and I’d get distracted.  So here we are at the completion of week three of only buying things I need goal. And I’ve got to say, I’ve actually really enjoyed the challenge.  I have absolutely had to stop myself from buying things over the last two weeks and sometimes, it's been hard. Someone would talk about a product and I’d want it and then have to stop myself from buying it.  Sometimes I’d be like “Sweet!! Week 1: Stop buying stuff Update

I am honestly surprised I am only a day off for posting my first week update. How did this magic happen?? So! It's been one week since I have bought anything I didn't NEED (school supplies, groceries, and spices have been purchased.) I haven't been living my life as thoughtfully or mindfully as I'd like.  So last night, as I was staying up too late to give myself more me time, because as a mother of two late at night is my main quiet time (which leads me to getting less sleep-BUH-but thats ok), I randomly had this thought: I am going to set a New Years Resolution to achieve a goal each month this year. A goal that will make me feel happy, fulfilled, and more present.  So, a couple things. 1. I love lists. Checking something off a to do list gives me a lot more pleasure than I'd like to openly admit. So creating a goal that I can work towards and check off sounds delightful. The ul
